If our meat-rich, processed-foods-filled, sugary diet is making us irritable and exhausted all the time, rather than taking it out on ourselves or the ones we love, we should ask the tough questions about what kind of life we want to live. Diet is the foundation for our lives, so shouldn’t we make it a strong, healthy one, rather than one filled with fats, toxins, and factory-processed non-foods? The benefits of the vegetarian diet are that it is a) healthy, b) inexpensive, and c) extremely quick and easy. Putting together a delicious vegetarian meal is often as easy as finding the right recipes (which Kardena Pauza provides in her books) and takes as little time as whipping up a snack. There are so many vegetarian options for getting the protein one needs, and Pauza goes into detail about them in her article and her books. | |

| Of course, the issue of vegetarianism versus meat-eating is an old argument, and there have been many intelligent proponents on both sides. However, as Pauza explains, the issue isn’t that we weren’t meant to eat meat – it’s that we weren’t meant to eat factory-farmed, toxin-pumped, genetically modified meat from diseased animals who are born, live, and die under disgusting conditions. The diseased and inflammations get passed on to us if we eat them. In our society, it’s literally impossible not to eat this sort of meat. Hence, Pauza explains, a vegetarian diet seems to be the only healthy option available to us. | |
